Food for Thought Sunday:
When: Last Sunday of each month
For Whom: children at Reiche Elementary School
What: individually wrapped nutritious snacks, as well as fruit and juice boxes.
Why: Reiche School is the local public school in our neighborhood. There are many families who have immigrated to our country and have little in the way of financial resources (30 languages other then English, are spoken in the homes of students at Reiche!) Since good nutrition is so important to a productive learning environment, our donation of snacks is an easy way to make a difference in the life of a child. Just put an item or two on your weekly shopping list and bring the snacks in on the last Sunday of the month!
Financial Support
Through the Missions Committee, budgeted money is donated to:
• OCWM (Our Church’s Wider Mission) • Protestant Chaplains
